Derek honed his craft as a member of Boulder’s beloved band, Flash Mountain Flood, before stepping into the smoky dim light as a solo artist. His songwriting style, often compared to legends like John Prine and Guy Clark, anxiously shifts between quirky humor and whimsical melancholy, captivating listeners at every tear.

Singer-songwriter Bob Barrick brings together Colorado’s best musicians to honor and breathe life into Jimmy Buffett’s vast catalog of “Gulf & Western” music.
